How Scout Memory works

Scout Memory keeps saved Calm Plans and private observations with your account so you can return to what you noticed about your dog. Scout can use recent dog-specific context in a returning Calm Consult, but it does not recall every past conversation.

What you can save

A Calm Plan and its dog details. Use “Save to Scout Memory” on the plan and enter your email. The save confirmation tells you whether the sign-in link was sent. Sign in with that email to return to the saved plan; the Scout Memory page shows your latest saved plan. Newsletter updates and progress emails are separate, optional choices.

Observations in your own words. Open observations, sign in, and choose a dog or add one by name. Record the date, time of day and what you noticed. You can also record what you tried and what happened afterward. A reported improvement does not establish what caused it, and a note is not a diagnosis.

Saving a plan does not automatically create an observations dog record or attach it to an existing one. Choose the intended dog carefully. Two records with the same name stay separate.

Review, correct or remove information

  • Observation history: choose the dog to see up to 100 recent entries. Older entries stay saved. Use “Edit observation” and “Save changes” to correct a note, or “Delete observation” and “Confirm delete” to remove it.
  • Changed plan details: tell Scout the current facts in a new Calm Consult. This does not rewrite an older saved plan. Sign in to the account that owns the plan, open its saved link, and choose “Delete plan” followed by “Confirm delete”. The current browser Calm Plan also has a signed-in delete control. For help finding an older plan, email support@pawsd.ai.
  • Account controls: Account Settings has a separate “Delete account” action with confirmation. Review it carefully; account deletion cannot be undone. You can also contact support to request a copy of your data.

Browser sessions and account Memory

An unfinished Calm Consult, its messages and locally stored plan can remain in the browser you used. Those local records are separate from account-backed Scout Memory. An unsaved plan link is available for 72 hours; saving the plan removes that anonymous expiry.

“Clear local session data” in Account Settings clears local Calm Consult sessions in that browser. It does not delete your account, saved plans or observations. Signing out also does not delete saved information. Read the Privacy Policy for data storage, retention and service-provider details.

Common questions

Does Scout remember every conversation?

No. When you are signed in and Scout can identify the right dog, Scout can use a limited recent selection of dog details, saved-plan summaries, activity and observations. It does not retrieve every previous transcript or every saved note. Repeat important facts and anything that has changed in the current Calm Consult.

Does saving a plan make it private?

No. A public plan can be read by anyone with its link, including the dog details shown in that plan. Sign in, open Scout Memory, then open Preferences and turn on Private plan for the latest saved plan to restrict it to your account. Your observation history is not shown on public plan pages. Review a plan before sharing it: any details shown in that plan can be read by someone with its link.

Is Scout Memory paid?

There is currently no charge to save a plan or keep observations in Scout Memory. Pricing and terms for any future paid Memory features have not been decided.

Keep one useful observation

Save what happened in plain words, then review or correct it whenever you need to. Scout Memory helps organize your reports; it does not replace a veterinarian or a qualified behavior professional.
